Hashirama can't absorb nature energy like Kabuto or BSM Naruto.

With this being said... It is a no brainer that creating Shinshuusenju would take an enormous amount of Nature energy and to create it so fast would take much more since he is pumping insane amounts of nature energy into it.

. Meaning his Nature energy levels are possibly equal to his chakra levels which are equal to BM Naruto chakra levels.

Well there has to be a perfect balance of nature chakra and yin and yang chakra. So it makes sense that Hashirama has more nature energy than SM Naruto.

EDIT -> Keep in mind though that while base Hashi has more chakra than base Naruto currently, Naruto is still a teenager. Base Naruto may eventually reach Base Hashi chakra levels as he grows older. Just some speculation

It's pretty clear as Hashirama stated himself that he has chakra levels comparable to Kurama and as SM is a person's chakra mixed to an equal ratio with Natural Energy, it's completely obvious.

Yeah that's basically what I meant though. Hashi has a larger pool but Naruto's pool is constantly being regenerated. Seems a moot point to me.

The sheer mass of Shinsuusenju makes it clear - not forgetting it's a Kekkei Genkai which are reputed to use more chakra than a single nature transformation.

you mean senjutsu chakra, in order to mold that you need to balance the natural energy against the physical and spiritual energy
in other words you can only form as much senjutsu chakra as much normal chakra you have, both naruto and hashirama can intake equal amounts of natural energy for senjutsu since they have comparable chakra

though the kyuubi can mold more chakra after running out

they use it for different jutsus, naruto uses it to form compressed chakra balls but hashirama uses to force trees to grow
comparing a forest with a bijuu dama and saying hashirama's energy level is higher because the forest is bigger is silly

Naruto has to use the kyuubi's yang chakra just to have a little life energy in comparison to Hashirama DNA (that created a being).
