Ok guys, now im not saying Nagato would beat Edo Madara, but I am saying he could. If we go off what he SHOULD be able to do than he could win. (This goes for pain to, not the one where each body attacks Naruto one at a time and their not trying to kill him, but the one where all 6 bodies attack at once with the intent to kill) I think pain would have a better chance also (more shared vision, more bodies to take out, they can take on more things at once like wood clones, and so on)
Ok, lets begin.
Medical: Nagato and the paths can heal themselves via Naraka path. So if he is seriously damaged he can heal himself (unless madara gets to him to fast)
Gedo mazo: this can be used to keep many things pre occupied, with its soul dragon and chakra chains. It could be used to help with the multiple wood clones, wood dragon, and perfect susanoo.
Ninjutsu:
All of Madaras ninjutsu besides Mokuton should be absorbed by Preta Path. Mokuton may or may not be absorbed, but can be pushed back by shinra tensei. Things like the wood dragon can be destroyed by Nagato, or he could use his summonings to keep it busy. Nagato could also use shinra tensei to negate the flower tree worlds pollen. He could also just fly. His preta path has a radius (as we saw when pain absorbed jiraiyas rasengan when it made direct contact, and when he absorbed his toad bath or w.e from a distance) this being said he could start absorbing wood clones before they get too close, negating them. (idk if preta path would cause wood to crumble or just stop in their tracks or what.
Genjutsu: As far as this goes, Nagato is an experienced rinnegan user and experienced in genjutsu. This being said he should be able to break free, or the genjutsu wouldn't even work. He also has shared visions which would allow him to still to see the battle field. (Nagato would need summons out)
Taijutsu: Nagato easily wins in this category. His Asura path could rip Madara to pieces. This is also Nagatos biggest chance of winning. If he could touch him he could end it with the human path and rip his soul out. He could also activate the naraka path and paralyze him as well. Madara would not want to get close to nagato. Nagato is also a sensor, so he cant be sneaked up upon. He also has shared vision. He can use Bansho Tenin to get Madara in close.
Perfect Susano'o: Nagato could use Chibaku Tensei. I dont think he could escape (Its fair to say Naruto and Killer bee couldn't escape a full powered Chibaku Tensei) also, Madara probably wouldn't figure out how to destroy it either. But for you guys who says he can, Nagato could use Bansho Tenin to pull him out of it (like gaara did with his sand, except nagato doesn't need onokis assistance because he isn't using physical means)
Now please dont bash or flame me. I was only stating how Nagato and Pain SHOULD be able to win. Not that they would. I hope you enjoyed at least
and maybe now see Nagato as a much stronger character.
