amaterasu cannot do that because ama burns to slowly enton or not the statue is way to large for sasukes field of vision to cover it all and if 1000 hands can tank tbb it can tank ama

Actually, Madara's Wood Dragon drained chakra from Naruto. So why wouldn't Hashirama do it?

He might be able to control the flames but that will not be enough. All he has to do is put up some sort of berrior to deflect the tech. Heck sasuke uses it mostly to augment sunnosso.
Madara has Ameratsu and Tsyoumi (sp on both) to make sunnosso and it is true that he is less versatile with tech because he can not put it out nor control the path it spreads (which is why he probably never used it to fight hari)

But if he uses the heat to make storm clouds for Karin he can possibly kill Hari with high difficulty. Because he does not have time to use any tech. and his wood will only go so far to protect him. So if he can survive Hari's onslaught (which I doubt) then he can win with a quick deathblow.
