A fight between the first hokage and the 4th and obviously the 4th would win due to his extreme speed and cunning intellect i can not see him losing to the 1st, agree or disagree?

Exactly,you can´t say he was not at least a smart ninja(maybe not as smart as Minato but still nothing to laugh about). The First must have been very intelligent, the supreme all around or well rounded shinobi with no real weaknesses and the only person Madara was never able to beat in a fight.
I am not saying Minato wouldn´t stand a chance as he was a beast too BUT we can´t know who would win in a match unless it actually happened.They had very OP techs and i am sure they had much much more than what we have seen so far(Senju = Clan of a thousand skills) obviously Minato had a bunch of other powerful jutsu other than FTG and Rasengan (sealing techs,barriers,summonings).

Minato is one of my favorite characters but I'm not sure he would beat the 1st hokage. He may put up a good fight though.

I'm going to have to go with Hashirama....the man fought both Madara and Kurama (two of the most powerful and devastating combatants in the Narutoverse) at the same time. Also not that Madara was basically a prodigy with an eye technique that can track what the opponent will do. This means that Hashirama had to be able to use an attack that, while Madara could forsee what was about to happen, he couldn't stop it.

I would say that takes some considerable strength, endurance, and intelligence.........unless of course Kishi decides to change the fight entirely as a means to once again Hype up Madara

So madra can't see slow blocks of wood coming toward him but you mean to tell me he can see Minato who was blazing fast and have enough time to defend himself yeah your logic makes total sense
