YEESS i have found proof 
legitament proof tht neither hashirama nor hiruzen is the strongest hokage.
right here there is an interview with masashi kishimoto himself, the creator of naruto, the god of narutoverse, the one who knows what is right and what is wrong in naruto.
If u read tht interview then u wudve seen this question (SJ=Shonen Jump, MK=Masashi Kishimoto)
SJ: While we're at it... could you please tell us if Minato was the strongest shinobi that ever lived?
and if you kept reading u wud see kishimoto's answer
MK: Hmmm, it's a tricky question. As far as dead shinobis goes, then yes, he's the strongest. I'd say that Sandaime shares the number one spot with him. As far as living shinobis goes... well, without going into many details I'd have to say no. There's a couple of shinobis whose stronger than him
Now as u can see kishimoto himself in an interview stated tht both minato and hiruzen share the spots of strongest dead shinobi. There is no mention of hashirama (since he's also dead).
This is undeniable proof as to who is the strongest.
And to those who are gonna say "he changed his mind" well ur wrong. if u read the entire interview it shows tht kishi thinks ahead. Definetly far enough to think about hashirama's new hype!
since he wud know about how he'd hype hashirama, if he rly did think he was strongest he wud have said it
this truly shud be the end to the "whos the strongest hokage debate".
Now remember although we can gather alot of info from the manga no info is more accurate than tht which comes from the mouth of the CREATOR himself!
