point blank, hashirama won this fight, it was not due to madara being cocky because he knows that could get him killed, it was a battle of stamina. The other fact is that Madara came with Kurama just to fight Hashirama when he could of just used his normal arsenal, as it was never stated that he always had Kurama in their previous fights. The reason why Madara lost was because he turned off his Sharingan the last moment (he got cocky) and he let his guard down because he couldn't see chakra without his Sharingan.

Last chapter he did say that he could tell Hashi from wood clones with his Sharingan and in this chapter Hashirama lost the clash.

Hashirama saw his Sharingan wasn't active and seized his opportunity. That's not to say Hashirama couldn't have won even if Madara had his Sharingan but for now Hashirama isn't stronger or weaker, they're the same level if Madara's not higher.

Edo Madara > Edo Hashirama

Maybe you should read up on how cloning works. He made the clone before the final clash, meaning before Madara turned off his sharingan. Madara was fooled by a clone, get over it.

Madara couldn't sustain the sharingan any longer due to the prolonged usage and the use of large amounts of chakra, they both were obviously worn out, Madara more so than Hashirama as you can see from the recent chapter.

Baka, stop trying to make up excuses, how moronic of you to think the most pompous Uchiha would willingly stop using his Sharingan in a fight to the death with man he say as his only rival.

Hashirama beat Kurama first, then proceeded to beat Madara.

He didn't deactivate it, he simply couldn't maintain it. Him deactivating it wouldn't make any sense at all. This still doesn't even mean that they are equal or that Hashirama would have lost. It simply means that Madara wouldn't have fallen for the feint.

@bold: Fixed those for you as Hashirama clearly won this match fair and square and Edo Madara already admitted inferiority to Hashirama.

they say Edo madara > edo hashi because EMS madara + Kyuubi pushed hashi far... But they forget that Edo madara doesn't have kyuubi. That's a major part of his arsenal gone...

His eyes are normal here, and that's before he got stabbed. If you were referring to the sfx by Madara's eye that was the Moku Bunshin turning into a wooden doll.
