Hashirama isn't stronger

The reason why Madara lost was because he turned off his Sharingan the last moment (he got cocky) and he let his guard down because he couldn't see chakra without his Sharingan.

Last chapter he did say that he could tell Hashi from wood clones with his Sharingan and in this chapter Hashirama lost the clash.

Hashirama saw his Sharingan wasn't active and seized his opportunity. That's not to say Hashirama couldn't have won even if Madara had his Sharingan but for now Hashirama isn't stronger or weaker, they're the same level if Madara's not higher.


Kid Hashirama > Kid Madara

Teen Hashirama > Teen Madara

Hashirama = Madara

Edo Madara > Edo Hashirama

The clone part was true,Madara stated that he was able to see which one was real.
Remember Hashirama had to tame the Nine Tails then fight Madara.

It looks as if main action started after Kurama blacked out. Look at them fighting with summons, both fine with full armor on. While on the next panel, both are ****ed up even though (presumably) no summons were used.

Madara couldn't sustain the sharingan any longer due to the prolonged usage and the use of large amounts of chakra, they both were obviously worn out, Madara more so than Hashirama as you can see from the recent chapter.
