Hashirama is without a doubt the best Shinobi

Obiously he's very strong, but the best shinobi is a little bit of a stretch.

It's hard to have comebacks to that because he hasn't been seen in the manga besides the orochimaru vs hidden leaf thing.. Which is a pretty major plot hole :shrug:

Linear logic doesn't work in Naruto. i.e. Ninja 1 > Ninja 2, and Ninja 2 > Ninja 3 , so Ninja 1 > Ninja 3.

It's all about match ups, and to be the most "powerful" Shinobi in history, you either mean would not lose a fight to any shinboi, or has the most raw power of any shinobi, both are wrong.

As well as this, Nagato is leagues above 6 paths of pain, undoubtedly, and I also strongly believe Nagato would win Hashirama in a fight.

And another thing, Mokuton can suppress chakra so saying that because he can beat a Bijuu on his own, and others can't means he is stronger, no, it means he is better suited to that fight.

I do believe he is one of the strongest ninja ever, but I must say he is the most revered.

As for Genjutsu he had the Bringer of the Darkness which disabled the sight. (That is perhaps why Madara couldn't cast any Genjutsu's on him like Tsukuyomi neither was Susano'o much effective because Hashirama can create Wood under him and his Amaterasu well, I'm guessing just the way Gaara's sand worked to block Amaterasu I'm sure his Wood can do the same.)

We still need to know alot more about Hashirama (and there's more to come which will amaze TONS of peoples I can assure you that) so it's pretty risky to give him the throne now, but I'm going with yes he's the best excluding SOSP.
