Wood is Hashirama specialty or Kekkei Genkai, where most of his combat is based around. Madara never consider himself equal to Hashirama. In fact, Madara always consider himself inferior to Hashirama.

No they aren't. No amount of not knowing how genetics work could proove that they are closer related than, say, Butsama Senju and Tajima Uchiha.

Like i said, That's not how genetics works. Tajima and Butsama are the 2nd closest to the sages sons we know, loosing only to the sages sons. Parallels and all that crap do not affect it.
