Hashirama is a Senju and Madara is an Uchiha!

Yes, the title states the obvious but some people need to be reminded that Hashirama and Madara are both Senju and Uchiha respectively.

It pains me when people think that Indra and Ashura's chakra have to be mixed to the bring about the rinnegan. When the Sage stated that Madara took a part of Ashura's chakra and mixed it with Indra's chakra, it very simply meant that he merged the powers of Uchiha and Senju, which Hashirama, Indra, Ashura, and Madara all are.

Hashirama will always be a Senju or descendant of Ashura and Madara will always be a descendant of Indra. This why their powers together create the powers of their father, Hagoromo and also why Sasuke needed Hashirama's cells to gain rinnegan rather than Naruto's (who is a Uzumaki and not a Senju).

Yes, this is exactly right. People are thinking because Hashi was an "incarnation" that Madara's rinne awakening was possible, but it has nothing to do with reincarnations but rather heredity or DNA.

The stage stated himself that the combination of their chakra is what awakened his power in Madara. DNA has nothing to do with it.

Chakra is a mix of spiritual and physical energy, only Hashirama and Naruto have the genetics and the spirit of Ashura which make his chakra, it's the same for Sasuke and Madara

Hashirama's DNA had nothing to do with Sasuke's Rinnegan. Sasuke gained the Rinnegan as a result of Hagoromo. Ashura's chakra is no longer in Hashirama. The transmigration had long since passed.

Sasuke awakened the rinnegan because the sage gave it to him hashi gave sasuke chakra not his cells and kabuto use hashis powers to heal sasuke he never received cells u need ashura and Indra u need to read that part over guy
