Actually, he said it's common for the average Jounin to have three or four elements. So it's only natural that the Hokages have even more.

He's the first Hokage, about as powerful as full power Kurama and Yamato and Spiral Zetsu's buddha statue was shown to possess all five elements. The god gate is possibly a lesser Yin-Yang technique since Kurama called it a six paths technique when it bound him.

Indirectly he has and it was visible in the manga. If you remember, when Spiral Zetsu summoned his buddha statue or whatever it was, that thing was capable of using all the 5 natures and since mokuton derives from Hashirama, so can Hashirama.
