Ok people calm down. After this chapter everyone is getting all excited and saying "wow it makes soo much sense, Hashi kills himself and Tobirama creates Edo Tesnsei in order to revive him!!"

No people Hashirama does not kill himself.

This battle is BEFORE the battle between Madara and Hashirama at the Valley of the End. And we all know that Hashirama won the fight at the Valley of the End, and returned to the village telling everyone that he had killed Madara.

So everyone just calm down, Hashirama doesn't commit suicide, and this isn't the reason why Tobirama creates Edo Tensei. Sheesh...

Well I could not say for sure but what we do know from manga facts is that it was not due to this particular request from Madara asking Hashi to kill himself. Some NB users are theorizing that It was created in order to revive Izuna.

Some people have concluded that Hashirama will kill himself, but not at this point. I've theorized he will do it after the VOTE battle, perhaps making a promise with Madara that if he does, he will leave and Konoha will be spared. It's obvious Hashirama will not kill Tobirama, so killing himself and having his brother take over would be the most logical.
