Now it makes sense to me as to why out of ALL the senju why Hashirama's cells were so damn powerful. It was because Ashura's chakra dwelled within them. I mean, Tobirama and Hashirama werent very far off from power, so how come nobody ever went for Tobirama either? The more the better right? Nah, its because his DNA lacked Ashura. And is also why just a bit of Hashirama DNA is soo potent.
Thats my theory.

I guess but have you ever thought of it like this . Hashirama = indra since he was born with talent and tobirama = ashura since he had to work hard for his power. But that's my stupid opinion . Yours makes sense :x3:

No, it purely has to do with him being Ashura's reincarnation. Not being he was a Senju, if so, they could have gotten Senju DNA from any Senju and get the Rinnegan. Hagoromo said it was because he mixed the chakra of Indra and Ashura, it brought out his own chakra, and that's how Madara awakened the Rinnegan.
