Hashirama unlike the Ashura line was a complete prodigy and the greatest genius in the Naruto universe (aside from the ootsutsukis). With his own power he is the strongest character in the series.

Ashura was supposed to be a flunky with no skill but a success at hard work while Indra had power passed down to him. But from their first meeting Madara was always leagues inferior to Hashirama.

-Even in their final fight WITH the Kyuubi and the prowess of his little brother's eyes he STILL lost to Hashirama. To be honest, it would have made more sense if Madara was Ashura because Ashura was able to
achieve power equal to Indra with the help of his comrades. If anything he used the power of the Kyuubi (consider it an accomplice or comrade) to equal the power of Hashirama...

Made this thread. It's like a comparison.

OT: I agree.

That's actually a good point... doesn't seem like he had to work really hard for his power, he just had it. Same for Madara, but that fits since that was Indra and he was automatically talented.

Hagoromo being Naruto and Hamura being Sasuke makes no sense either.

Agreed, the manga even says Hashirama learned Mokuton ALONE

It made no sense as far as talent is concerned, but I hope you don't really think Madara fits the Ashura archetype better than Hashirama does lol.

Ashura wasn't looking for weaklings and losers to latch onto, he was looking for someone who truly understood that working together peacefully is more important than crushing opposition with power and Hashirama was that person of his time.

Actually, naruto is just as talented if not
More so than Hashirama naturally. Naruto was stunted in child hood. He didnot have parents to teach him or to
Motivate him to do better.

We know naruto is naturally intelligent because he learned shadow clone Justu quickly ( and he was deemed "bad" and clone Justu beforehand) and he learned rasengan quickly.

It took minato years to make the rasengan, naruto makes new rasengan Varients on the spot/in weeks.

It's not about strength. It's about principles. He believed that with friendship and working together is true strength.

I thought the same thing when I read the chapter. Kishi was desperate.

Basically this. Also the fact hashi was born into war and thus had to train from a very early age, where as naruto was born into peace and trained much later on.

As far as talent goes, Hashirama being Ashura's reincarnate is by far the most broken relation in the NV. Ashura was a fodder until he started making friends (similar to Naruto), but Hashirama was already high-Kage tier when he was only a pubescent, and his only known friend was Madara and his brother; even before Konoha's founding (where there were a lot of people who loved/looked up to Hashirama), he was still a boss.

Makes no sense at all. The only thing that makes Hashirama and Ashura's relation somewhat realistic is their ideologies...and even then, Hashirama is not what I would call a legit Ashura reincarnate; I doubt Ashura/Naruto would ever used their power to subjugate the biju and use/sell them as weapons for the Five Great Villages.

I always thought it was about mindset and not power.

Last I checked, Hashirama and Madara failed as the reincarnations. Madara because he wanted power and BZ's influence, and well, that could be Hashirama's fault.

Hashirama being the incarnation makes perfect sense, people are just misunderstanding why Ashura chose him, it has nothing to do with power, you have to look further than that.

I looked further into it in the second paragraph, if you somehow overlooked it.

You also didn't explain how Hashirama failed (maybe because he didn't). He succeeded in gathering people into one big happy family; he played his role pretty damn good, so I don't know what you're talking about.

I'm sorry, but no. Naruto is not as prodigious as Hashirama overall. Hashirama was actually a genius, who acted like a goofball; Naruto is a legit retard (IQ south of 70).

I made a mistake when I said Madara's fault, I meant Hashirama's. Hashirama's part in the failure could be killing Madara. It could have also continued into using the Tailed Beasts as weapons that are distributed for peace, that's not the true way to bring lasting peace so he failed.
