hashi faced madara in battle multiple time,so he kno's exactly how strong madara is,he doesn't kno about the recent upgrades,renningan and senju dna....

but without them,hashi have madara by far,it was neva a close match....my reason for saying this is because hashi made it evident....

if hashi kno's how strong madara is,why did he send a clone to fight him...and he made 5 clones,which means his power was divide by 5,so if that percentage is wat he kno is capable of handling madara at full strength wen he had ems,...

now madara has reningan and senju dna,100 percent hashi without holding back mite be able to contend with him

They fought themselves to basically a stalemate when both were alive. Atm all things being equal they both are edo's with limitless chakra except now Madara has some notable upgrades. Hashi is going to have to give his all.

i think wat happened wen hashi fought madara,is the samething that Goku did to Vegeta...Goku already had ssj3,but he fought Majin vegeta in ssj2 to keep the fight interesting,and also because he didn't want to hurt his feelings...

so hashi probably was holding back all along trying not to hurt madara feelings,plus he valued him as a fren...madara always go for the kill,while hashi was jus putting out enough to servive

The fact that their final battle this day won't be the same as what they did during their lifetime, since Madara has acquired new abilities. Hashi would have to fight Madara at his full strength, even though the latter is holding back most of his power, maybe.

You don't know if wood clones divides your chakra like shadow clones do, and even if they did that doesn't mean Hashi thought a clone could beat Madara. His goal was probably to just keep him busy until they took care of the Juubi.

About the division of power... I'm not too sure.

There are two possible reasons of why Hashirama Clones could equal its original power:

- Shodai Scroll: Uzumaki Naruto learned Tajuu Kage Bunshin from that scroll, and it is categorized as Kinjutsu. As for his great reserves of chakra (and plot no jutsu) Naruto is not affected by the negative effects of the technique. If this scroll came originally from the Shodai Hokage, there are the possibilities that Hashirama can do the same with his Wood Clones.

- Shodai Hokage is in Edo Tensei state. This means he has "unlimited" sources of chakra (that, and the fact he is strong as hell), so It's hard to determine if "infinite / 5 < infinite" (yeah, I said infinite. Don't Edo-Tensei guys like this recover chakra automatically?)

I think that there is a little foreshadowing when Hashi overcame Orochimaru's restrictions. Oro's full body was zetsu, and Hashi easily overcame it. Im pretty sure that the spot on Madara's chest doesnt matter that much to Hashi. The rinnegan is just something to get used to battleing. I mean, If Naruto could do it... Hashi should be able to. I think Hashi will still win mid- high diff.

no, since madaras wood release is nothing compared to hashiramas sage art wood release and he has shown nothing with the rinnegan that can compete with a full power hashirama.
