People very much forget a kunai, sword, explosive tags still have potential to kill as much as Amaterasu or Rasengan.

Then they get mad when Madara dies by being stabbed or Sasuke punctured through the heart with a simple sword.

I hate how everyone actually think you need super flashy jutsu to kill. Fun fact, EVERY jutsu has the potency to kill.

Even poison is a threat to most powerful ninjas =_=

If you aren't a mountain buster, you're fodder these days.

One would expect the power scale of the universe of a shonen manga to increase exponentially over time but yeah, I miss the good old times of throwing shurikens around, ambushing with kunai, using sneaky tricks as part of fighting, etc... that's what made Part 1 and early Part 2 enjoyable because people were drawn into the concept of shinobi. Although, Kishi has stated that shinobi are ones who endure to achieve their dreams so its definition in the NV is quite different.

True. I'd like to see Naruto survive getting a hit by a kunai right in the face. Or see Sasuke tank a direct hit from a giant shuriken. But here's the issue: Naruto could deflect the Kunai with RM, and Sasuke could tank said shuriken with a ribcage Susano'o. It's not that ninja weapons are weak, but most of the top-tier characters can avoid them with little to no effort.

We still got Kakashi, he is the only real ninja left in the series...
