well i spent 500 for my pepe deck just to get hit so. first turn traptrix raphlesia and cyber dragon infinty, you just win. the deck is so powerful there had to be an emergency ban list
I mean the quality yu go oh used to have, the fun, ya know?By good you mean what? Popularity?
On what are you basing this? The game has accumulated a massive following and its events are huge for a TCG game. It may seem like its popularity has gone down, but trust me it's not.
It's just that you don't see kids playing it in schools anymore.![]()

The quality has actually improved. Meta has always been broken, and if you wanted to have actual fun you'd have to go casual, wich is where YGO really shines. It was always like that. So not much changed. If you want to use old stuff you still can, especially since there have been a few old school sets wich really give crazy power-ups to the classic decks. Not to mention all the stuff that has only come out in the OCG...I mean the quality yu go oh used to have, the fun, ya know?
Ambivalence & bad touch yakushi summarize my thoughts.
I called it dead because the places i used to go dueling are either closed down or relocated somewhere far, or entirely doesn't have dueling anymore. Magic seems to be the king atm.
Meh. I guess its just i prefer traditional format over the advanced formt. Well since there's a new ygo movie coming out and the original series is be remade. I might get back to it.The quality has actually improved. Meta has always been broken, and if you wanted to have actual fun you'd have to go casual, wich is where YGO really shines. Not enough for them to beat the Meta, but enough to give the old decks enough juice to keep them going.
As for the popularity, well it varies from place to place. I myself live in a town in wich YGO has never been alive at all. This doesn't mean it's dead on a global scale tough, as there are a LOT of players on the regular tournaments in cities actually fortunate enough to hold them. Though, in an age of free MMOs, TCG and board games in general don't have a bright future.
Where do you live tough? Magic is only more popular in North America and even there its a close call. Rest of the world is dominated by YGO.
Well thats a different thing. I myself like the old days more simply because I find them more charming.Meh. I guess its just i prefer traditional format over the advanced formt. Well since there's a new ygo movie coming out and the original series is be remade. I might get back to it.
