Has technology reached its peak?

It seems that technology is going no where fast... is it because there is nothing else to invent? Technology today is basically what it was 5 years ago, with a few minor adjustments. I'll be all old and disabled when flying cars are invented.

No, I think there'll be major medical advances soon - which is more important than flying cars and jet packs. There also could be advances in space travel - there's talk of settling the moon by 2035.

Well, today we have things that in the past no 1 could have imagined. Creativity it's something unpredictable, so I think humans will keep inventing more stuff.
And also, technology changes are more evident in a lapse of 20 years, not 5.

technology always improve everyday you just dont know about .when they announce any form of technology it most likley been out for year. like medicin if they wait longer to put it on the market the more money they make. its all about the money

Well, if you look thorough history you can notice that knowledge develops at lapse of 20 years. I mean the it takes that time to put all the little advancements together in new stuff that will blown our mind. Unless it is a war time, which is not the case.

Not even close. Processing power doubles every two years. A PS3 is the equivalent if the highest technology the milatary had 15 year ago.

I know that all the time there's development in technology. I said all the development is more noticeable in a lapse of 20 years, cause a lot of things are put together within that time.
Also, when it's something controversial it takes that time to society to accept it and create proper laws.
