Perhaps we'll receive a flashback on how he dies? I doubt Kishi will leave us hanging on that. Especially with him missing irrelevant pieces of armor to his final fight with Madara.

I think that in the moment of his death, if he would've sided due to a high amount of damage, there would be more missing to him than just a single plate of armor.

No, the point of that piece of armor is that he died in battle, but not at VoTE. Which means there's someone extremely strong that we're missing. Obviously we know that, but this missing armor upon being revived means Kishi has not forgotten about it.

It's best if he died against a legion of shinobi like Tobirama (which is still extremely unlikely) instead of dying against another Stone Age character.

It could have possibly even been Madara himself; we've already seen Madara was A-okay when placing Hashirama's cells within himself.

Or he never put it back in respect of Madara, like, a brother of him died. Or it really caused his death.
