Madara is the only character in this war to bring the sense of danger, and ever since he joined the battlefield along side Obito, he's lost it. He's just been d!cking around.

"Let's tidy up the battlefied"
*Next chapter
Madara is chillin.

Kabuto - Ever since Itachi said he would stop the Edo Tensei, I had nothing to fear. Then he teamed up with Sasuke.

Juubi - Unless the Juubi's final form can deliver, not even the Juubi show signs of danger. Don't get wrong, Juubi is a threat. But from a readers standpoint I don't feel it. Okay, he killed fodders(Who cares?) and Neji. Neji's death was no where near as sad Jiraiya. If anything, it was like a big "Ohh.." moment. Then followed by a "Ahh.." moment with the Hinata and Naruto scene.

Obito - Ever since they figured out his MS, he's lost his sense of danger.

Sasuke and friends - Some people are on edge for a betrayal, and some are not. But I will say Kishi is at least building suspense for whatever happens.

Lets hope the Juubi's final form can restore this and deliver.

I agree with this.... In the Minato vs Obito fight I could really sense this danger as a frightening villain && who else were going to die. Even though Naruto lives, I had doubts, that's how intense it used to be!

Now its just meh! they are dying for the sake of plot & nothing sensible

Yes it has lost its chilling feeling. The Fourth Shinobi World War had an errie-like essence at one point. We saw Tobi a character who despite the efforts of Naruto, Kirabi, Kakashi and Gai was unable to be hit for a long time. However, that touch was slightly lost subsequent to Kakashi unraveling the mystery of his dōjutsu. He still had the touch but his ruthlessness is temporarily gone as he is with Kakashi.

Madara isn't doing anything. Since the beginning of Part 2, he was known as the Legendary Uchiha who was able to par with Hashirama Senju, the Most Powerful Shinobi of his time. The man who controlled the Kurama, the man who awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and later the Eien no Mangekyō Sharingan. The man who wore the mask and was untouchable, the man who ran the Akatsuki etc. Some of it was untrue but his hype was immense. And for the past 30 chapters he's been doing nothing or didn't appear at all. He was menacing against the Gokage but now, he's horrible.

Jubi is obviously a threat but not as much as it was made out to be. Nobody is dying and it's annoying. Neji died and it sure was upsetting but he had no development since the the beginning of Shippuden so it was like I barely cared. We need someone really important to die for good and not get revived like they did against Pain.

The Invasion of Pain arc seemed more menacing then the War Arc and the Jubi Arc. During the Pain arc, the Legendary Sannin Jiraiya died. He was brutally murdered by Pain who was his former student which gave him a chilling aura. He then single-handedly blew up Konoha. This was unheard of and people actually died. Kakashi died, Jiraiya died it seemed Tsunade died, everyone was injured, Hinata appeared to have died. It was all intense but this war has none of this. Other than the Previous Shika-Ino Duo and Neji nobody important died and the stated two aren't even that important really.

Kind of sad. But yes, it did lose it.
