I still get surprises from time to time. Although I miss the times when one chapter used to contain a lot of surprises and detail. Lately it's just been flashbacks stock images and extended scenes and too few panels for something that actually has impact to the story. I feel like they are purposely dragging this out.

Well,if basically after every chapter if u discuss it whole week in a forum with 1000 others where the theories just keeps popping up randomly by random members then it's obvious that sm1 is bound to hit the spot. Also the story is at the end i guess.

Yeah compared to Bleach and OP the manga is very predictable in Bleach none believed that Yachiru will show her Shikai and Kenpachi will come back any soon, in OP Sabo just suddenly appeared BM shows up at SH crew's ship

My concern is that Kishimoto is really just making this series a little too stale and predictable lately.

EDIT: For instance, it's just way WAY too obvious Naruto will meet the Sage soon...

Well I respect you opinion but I have to disagree. We all have a thought of where this story is headed and you know what some of us are probably right. But like many have said that's because this is the end. With every chapter the conclusion of the story becomes more and more clear. But not only that if you have read all of Naruto all 669 chapters and don't have somewhat of a right idea of how this is all going to end then what the hell have you been doing lol. all we are missing is small pieces to the puzzle most of it has already been completed.
