Has Hinata's Taijutsu surpassed Neji's ?

I've been wondering for a while now and do you guys think that hinata's gentle fist has surpassed Neji's...because wen the hyuga are preforming the gentle fist there is a light blue thing(it might be chakra but idk 4sure) that forms around there hands. But wen Hinata fought pain the light blue aura turned into 2 lion heads

....so does that mean her gentle fist is now on a new lvl and surpassed neji's still normal looking gentle fist?


I personally think that she is capable of much more than the clan leaders before this...2bad her dad or something didnt see this technique for himself so we culd know more about it.

oh and is there a special name for the technique she used? just wondering.

I've been wonderingthe same thing. I think that Hinata has surpassed neji in most aspects except intelligence xP. The technique is called gentle step twin lion fist, but don't hold me to that.

i have to assume neji's been growing in the time we havnt seen him as well, because it would severely disappoint me if hes reached his limit already while hinata is banging out new techs

hinata however, in terms of bloodline, has a purer kg id think, so in the end she may be capable of more than he is,just like hanabi will probably surpass hinata one day, but for right now id say neji still has the upper hand

Hinata still needed to be saved by Naruto when 3 Zetsu's tried to attack her while Neji if put in that situation could have kaitened them away or hit them all with 8 trigrams 64 palms (like he did against the Kisame clones). Her taijutsu stat in the databook is only 3.5 while his is 4.5 so she's still below him.

Neji and Hinata's fathers were twin brother so theres no evidence of her bloodline being purer. The only difference is Hiashi was born first. He openly admitted that Neji was born with more Hyuuga talent than his own daughters and in the anime he told Neji to lead the Hyugas in the war while he's fighting on the front lines. That means he has more faith in Neji than even the rest of the head family.

Their level in taijutsu is different, though, Hinata has added an advanced technique to make up for her lack in taijutsu skill. In the anime, the Twin Lion Fist was able to momentarily overwhelm Neji when they were sparing, though Neji's taijutsu prowess allowed him to gain control of the fight afterwards.

I would say that she is very good and possesses a decent amount of talent, but Neji is older and more experienced in gentle fist than hanabi. He also possesses a stronger byakugan so Neji > Hanabi.

If anything, Hanabi would be a bit more equal with Hinata.

That was back when Hinata had little to no confidence in her abilities. Hinata is more confident now and could even hold her own against Neji for a short while.
