Dawg, DBZ sucked major ass. DB was good, I liked that. DBZ was the worst thing to happen. The biggest cancer to exist in the anime/manga culture.

You are entitled to your opinion and yes, DB was better than DBZ but also lacked Trunks and Vegeta. But you also must remember that Dragon Ball and the Z was added by the American market, has influenced nearly all shonen manga that has come after it, Naruto, One Piece and many, many others have been heavily influenced by Akira Toriyama.

And, No, Goku has never met his Dad, he died when he was a baby and after he was sent to Earth and as all Saiyans where considered evil, he would have had his body taken away, his memories purged and likely been reincarnated before Goku was old enough to think about it...not that Goku really thinks...bless him LOL
