Eh, the 90's was a treasure trove of mecha anime. There was GaoGaiGar, Voltron, Nadesico, Vandread, and Evangelion. If you lived where I was there would be Voltes V and Daimos.

Gundam was good when it was still Wing. It reached its peak with Seed and Seed Destiny. It's just trash now.
