Which do you prefer Harry Potter Books or Harry Potter Movies? Why?

Which are your favorite movies? Which are your favorite books?

What are your favorite characters?

Well....Books are obviously more detailed and you get more detail as well as more of the "little things" in hogwarts life (Quidditch, classes, their everyday life etc) so you get more feel.

Movies have cool effects and you get a visual perspective and...it all looks epic. I really cant tell which one i like more as i am a huge HP fan and i love both but...Books have PEEVES xD

its a tie for me.

My favourite characters'd be Grindelwald, Moody, Sirius and Albus, though i dont particularly dislike anyone, all the characters were unique and awesome imo

Books, the movies left a lot of good stuff out and changed quite a bit of material(not for the better IMO).

Snape, Voldemort, and Sirius are my favorites.

Books.

Though I can't deny that the movies showed some epic duels and fights, and general moments.

Dumbledore vs. Voldemort was brief but epic... You could really feel that these were the two strongest wizards to have ever lived; clashing.

Though I'll always condemn the movies for portraying Dumbledore as equal to Voldemort, when in fact the books showed us that old Dumbledore was handling Voldy and Bellatrix on his own, with great detexerity and relative ease.

I like both in their own ways. So I can't choose. The books go in more depth and have much more content but the movies visually depict what I imagined from the books and its also a good experience.

Books. By a massive landslide. All I could think of while watching every movie past Chamber of Secrets was ''rushed, missed, skipped''. The books were amazing, and almost without fault.

Gonna favor the movies, never read all the books. Read up to about Goblet of Fire and skimmed the rest.
Favorite people in the series though we're the lovegoods lmao Luna was adorable.

The books are way better.

The movies left out a lot of extra detail and certain scenes.
They also became really bad after Phoenix. They were trying to print money at that point.

It's a bit like A Song of Ice and Fire, if you're familiar.

Sirius is best though.
