When you think about it, the up and coming actress and new source material gives them a chance for a recurring role.

What is cruical is Batman v Superman to succeed. There's a lot riding on that movie. It's DC's "flagship" movie if you will, and if it fails, things won't be looking good at all for DC and Warner Bros.

While that is true, which is obvious, there's more to it. She's a cult favorite, popular among women(especially the college crowd from what I see on campus) and will be huge for them marketing wise. There's HUGE void for female fans of superhero movie and this is a golden opportunity.

Actually for the whole Dc universe to succeed BvS and Suicide Squad have to be a hit which they will, because now that we have A Batman and a Joker again into the universe people are going to want to see them again, specially in this darker world ( like it suppose to be) not to mention with the JL and other Important villains, Dc needs those two movies to hit not just one Imo

As for Harley she can go on her own with the squad or The Joker to fight the JL, she has a lot of room to grow
