With the finding out the naruti and sasuke are reincarnations people think that the theme of hard work has been thriwn away and so has destiny but i disagee ashura may have transmigrated his chakra into naruto but the sage said something along the lines of he knows why ashura chose him this is because of who naruto is on the inside aside from what he has inherited. Also the prophecy that naruto will save the world is not throwing away the concept that destiny us not decided because naruto could infact fail as the ones ashura has chosen before naruto has...it is who naruto is that makes him able to save the world something the past reincarnations did not possess is naruto being stupid and what not which the sage pointed out..so i believe the concept of hardwork is not gone because if naruto chose to give up ashura would not had chose him

Naruto, Lee, and Hinata probably stand as the three of the rookies who were, "Hard workers," or the, "Underdogs." In the end... Naruto became a "gifted god clan Hokage Destiny child." Lee and Hinata HARDLY improved.... Lee opened one gate (though fair enough given he just went and healed a broken arm and leg in 2 years). Hinata couldn't even use 64 palms until the Juubi arc. Kishi solidly killed that theme... and honestly his last chapter attempts to say, Naruto had to work hard and realize his talents falls short when he's a destined child and still has powerful clan genetics. I mean look at the recent power ups they've gotten. Sasuke by taking his brother's eyes... then getting Senju DNA pumped into him... now getting it after a pep talk with Old Hagoromo. Naruto powers up immensely after becoming Kurama's BFF, and then suddenly can fuse SM (though makes sense), and now is getting powered up with a pep from Old Hagoromo. Sure... some degree of people working is being seen.... but it isn't nearly the same feeling as we get when we have this nearly no talented boy at the start. I mean when by feats Part I Lee STILL beats the majority of the K11... it seems like any amount of work they put in meant jack shit.

Destiny being changed was ruined with Part II as well. Neji was literally on the dot right before he was TNJ'd. By Destiny, Naruto was ironically a destined child of prophecy. He was destined to grow above Neji. He was also to unite the Biju. Hell Neji technically died for the main branch like his destiny should have been... though he at least looked at it as saving someone he cared about as opposed to feeling cursed.

how is it destiny?
destiny is something that will happen regardless of what is done. Naruto worked for the power he has, If he didn't he wouldn't have become the child of prophecy AKA child of prediction seeing as how the prophecy of NAruto saving the world was a future prediction of what is to happen depending on Naruto's actions.
A prince who is next in line to become a king is destined to be king and that's true because there's nothing stopping him. It will happen regardless.

You can say naruto is the child of prophecy only because he is changing the destiny of the world as the sage says it seems the natural flow of things want kaguyas methods to win..that is the way i intepret it....naruto had to work hard though the ninetails was given to him he had to deal with it as a burden most of his life working hard to use his own power while it was being interferred with then finally he had to learn to take his problem and make it his strength...neji died protecting hinata who was protecting naruto which brings back the theme of protecting those precious to you..a theme you people seem to forhet about naruto is the embodiment of that theme putting his life at risk to save the world that is precious to him he was chosen because of his undying will not because destiny wants it that way

The prophecy was just " You will fight a man with power in his eyes"
Naruto then interrupted the sage and said "I know"
It wasn't out right stated it would be Sasuke.. Could have just as easily been Madara..

I don't really see Sasuke and Naruto fighting with serious hostility and ill intent in the manga anymore. Maybe a friendly spar to end the manga

I'm not so sure.

Perhaps Sasuke's new wind will spark a disagreement after Madara is dealt with =D

Sure Naruto worked hard, but it helps when you actually have 10 times the chakra as a Jounin without Kurama, and your dad was a brilliant minded shinobi. Sure he didn't immediately start out with the gifts (minus his chakra), but Naruto's ability to strategize has phenomenally grown. Then compare Naruto's progress with basically every other Hard worker out there..... they all hardly made any improvements. Hard work was a theme, except only a select few of the hard working individuals had any significant progress. Furthermore, the fact Naruto is a child of prophecy. I mean... sure it may end up that he still had to work... but it was already pre-destined that he'd achieve greatness from his efforts. Compare him to Hinata who always trained hard... and is honestly still below Neji in terms of feats. All her hard work certainly got her nowhere. Rock Lee with a small handicap hardly improved either. Even after all her study with Tsunade Sakura herself had to wait the entire series to legitimately power up.

He was dreamed about by the toad all the way to the Sage's time. How is this not destiny that he'd do this? He is in the process of doing it. Look at Darth Vader from Star Wars.... destined to end the sith... it didn't account that he'd kill most of the jedi, but in the end he kills Palpatine and himself (the last true sith). Prophecy fulfilled... destiny fulfilled. If Naruto were to fail... then he simply isn't the child of prophecy... so depending on his destiny... he'll succeed or fail.

Naruto was destined to take the hard long road just like the younger son. He was looked down upon countless times. He was nothing but an annoying runt that was constantly up to no good. He was horrible in school too. Naruto was rock bottom and he made his way to the top with hard work, drive and TNJ.
