Ill try to explain even if i dont know what hapened XD
Hard drives as you know are made of metal (probably unless my life is a lie XD) so since magnet attracts it the hard drive will have its components scattered inside and its gonna become a useless piece of metal.

Didnt you see that cmd prompt (window in case u dont know what it is, i aint explaining XD) pop up during the end of the video? It had some errors from the corrupted hard drive and i can bet windows couldnt be booted after that because the hard drive is toasted.
