He knew how to perform a great number of techniques and was otherwise knowledgeable of those he could not. During his battle against his former student Hiruzen, he showed considerable taijutsu skill, able pressure the Third Hokage with it. In the manga, he also showed great genjutsu prowess, using the Bringer-of-Darkness Technique that covered the area in darkness which even Hiruzen couldn't dispel.

i agree and I think that the fight on the rooftop aginst Hiruzen is a bad example of Hashirama and Tobirama. The arena was too small to comprehend the true scale of his skills. Put that battle in a desert or field, whole different story. Don't forget that the mokuton wood contained chakra itself, also parlayzing those who get caught in it.

He was considered the strongest in his time and his clan was feared as a clan with a thousand skills. He might have other powerful jutsus that could counter Madara's EMS. Mokuton is only his signature move. He could be immune to genjutsu because it's hard to imagine why Madara was unable to trap him using Tsukuyomi. By feats, Madara stomps him but we all know that he defeated Madara so he might have something else in his sleeve.

Onooki was surprised that he has MS and EMS in his edo state, and I'm pretty sure Madara used all of his abilities against Hashirama, and that's how he managed to survive the battle.

She wrestled the Kyuubi from Madara's control and then sealed it inside herself during their battle, meaning she was there. Her exact role is still unknown in the battle since that is the only information we know of her.

I can't 100% recollect the exact chap it is in, but my interpretation was that the sealing of the Kyuubi turned the tide of the fight. not definite though.

no is doesn't... your right, it has no exact manga references... but we know that the 1st Hokage's wife was the host of the Kyuubi... which would have taken place before or during the 1st Hokage and Tobi fought...
