Hashirama Senju is considered by many as the most powerful shinobi of his time. He was greatly respected by most shinobi during his lifetime, such that Tobi claimed Hashirama was the one person whom he respected the most as well as detested. His prowess and abilities were so great that he was able to not only fight on equal footing with Madara Uchiha despite his power of Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and having the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox at his side, but even gained victory in the end and survived the battle.

People dramatically underate his Mokuton ability. He practically defeated EMS Madara (The strongest Uchiha ever) and the Kyuubi with Mokuton alone. He could simply destroy/seize/entangle/ Susanoo in an incredible array of plantation:

They forget he was also a genjutsu user, capable of using the infamous bringer of darkness technique:

This technique exerts an hallucinatory effect upon the eyesight, effectively blinding the opponent. No matter how skilled an opponent may be, they are forced to wait helpless in this world of darkness, as this technique allows the user to attack unseen.

His chakra reserves were immense; have you never thought why so many people (Madara, Danzo, Tobi, Orochimaru) have toiled so greatly just to get a piece of DNA? The same cannot be said of MS techniques Sasuke and Itachi have; it drains their chakra greatly.

I never said it would be easy, but Hashirama takes this for me.

well if itachi is alive that means sasuke hasnt got the mangyeku, so its one normal sharingan+one mangyeku(but sick) vs hashirama who defeated madara who had eternal mangyeku....no contest hashirama wins.

im afraid ur wrong.. first hokage use shadow clone tech... and 1 clone vs susake and 1 vs itachi and he relax's on top of a tree eating home made cookies
