It's funny how people react without knowing anything about the situation. Would you all feel the same if it was the cops life that was taken, I think not as many of you would. Also the assumption that just because someone is in a wheelchair can't be a threat is foolish and an insult to handicapable people(ok that was a poor taste joke I admit it)
For those of you who don't know about Delaware, which is probably 90% or better, Wilmington has been nicknamed Murdertown USA for it's ridiculously high death/violent crime rate per capita. It is one of if not the worst small cities in the United States by per capita statistics and is comparable in scale to most of the bad cities in the US, so it's not really hard to understand why a cop in the area reporting to a scene with a gun may be quick to react and judge.
That doesn't make it less of a shame that another man's life was ended by the organization meant to do all it can to protect but you all reacting to this before knowing all the details is not much different than how the cops are reacting to scenes now. Everyone sees the first few moments and think they understand entirely until it turns out they made the wrong choice. This just happened at the University of Delaware about a week ago. They had an event where lanterns were tied to the tree branches, everything ended and got cleaned up. Well turns out someone forgot some of the lantern holsters and the next day people jumped to the conclusion that someone had hung nooses up as a racial attack and demanded justice. Turns out they were all wrong and now look quite foolish.
