handed powerups or deserved??

By what i've seen many people claim this and that character are only bosses due to handed powerups. But there´s a clear difference for me in what is a free power up and one which is well deserved.

Free or handed powerup: a power up that is given to the character without any effort, training, time in exchange, basically another character comes in and hands the power.

Deserved powerup: a powerup which is the product of the work of the person, it could either be by training or some other method.

Now if we take the definition of free powerups some of the ones i would qualify as free are kurama, senjutsu of the six paths and 9 tail beast chakra for naruto; sharingan for kakashi; curse mark, itachi´s eyes and rinnegan for sasuke; izuna's eyes for madara, wood style for obito, yamato and danzo; rinnegan for nagato; because basically someone came up and gave them such power.

And some of the ones i would qualify as well deserved powerups are madara and his hashi cells since he had to fight to death with hashirama to get those cells therefore it required an effort from him; obito and the rinnegan as he also engaged in a battle to death with konan; kabuto and all the genes(oro, sound 5, suigetsu) he injected in his body since he did a research for years therefore spent a lot of time and effort in such research etc.

To sum all up i think that´s the difference between a free powerup and deserved powerup, for me even though the mains are the strongest due to free powerups some side characters have actually more credit because they got there on their own effort.

It doesnt matter at all. People only bring those things up to bash characters, Kishimoto does not look at things like that at all.

Rasegan training was boring to watch so I am cool with Kishimoto giving certain power ups to characters. However Naruto and Sasuke's power ups throughout the war were very illogical, yes they are given over a span of many chapters however in Naruto world it was only a day and half.

Kurama was initially a free power up, but nine tails chakra mode is something he worked for by defeating 9 tails mostly on his own.

Senjutsu is also something worked for, Naruto & jiraiya both had to train extremely hard to unlock it...

How do you consider Senjutsu a free power up. Did Naruto not train to gain that power?? I also wouldn't class Kurama as a "free" power up either. Naruto had to battle his own emotions to keep him in check throughout most of the series, and then he give him an ass whooping to gain Kurama's chakra. But I agree with more or less the rest of your list

as i said consider a free powerup as something given for free to you, then if he masters such power after receiving it is a whole different thing, it´s like if your dad gives to you a car and you dont use it, the same as here if they receive a powerup it makes sense for them to master it,it would look kind of dumb that a character had a power that didnt know how to properly use but i can see you point of double standard here.

And about senjutsu i meant senjutsu and the six paths but i do recongnize his effort for getting toad sage mode

thanks, BTW try to relax, kakashi mastered the sharingan once he received it but he didnt do anything to gain a sharingan, it wouldnt make sense that kakashi had a sharingan which didnt know to use properly, dont you think?
besides kabuto didnt just take a sample of blood he had to research for years and years to put all those things together and make them his, it's not like he went to the drugstore to buy them or so, he worked for them, besides kabuto also had to fight oro's genes not to take over and he also master DSM which shows he had dedication, i'm not discreting kakashi and his abilities but kakashi didnt work to get a sharingan but kabuto from the very begining worked for those powers, relax

like i said before if a character didnt learn to use a free powerup the character would look kind of pathetic, do you imagine how kakashi would look like if he didnt know how to properly use his sharingan? It makes sense for a character to master said powerup because if they didnt it would look pathetic, it´s free and they still dont know how to use it, do you see my point?

Anyway by deserved powerup i mean powerups that were purporsefully attain, for example madara fought hashi with the intention of getting his cell, obito fought konan so that he could retrieve the rinnegan, naruto was aware he was gonna create a new tech when he was training for rasenshuriken while kakashi didnt know he would get the sharingan, he just happen to be there when obito was about to die but he didnt plan it, nor sasuke planned to received a curse mark once more a deserve powerup is something you´re aware you will receive before actually receiving and you work towards that.

Of course this is all my opinion feel free to disrgard it if you want to.

madara put in risk his life for such bite, the piece of flesh didnt come on its own to him, he had to work for it even if it was a dirty job and he had to pull a sakura. Kabuto didnt just extract the dna and injected it, he had to research how it work so he could make it work in his own body, it took him years of research to find out how, he spent whole years just doing that and you tell me he didnt work for that, not all training are physical exercise, sometimes brains are better, you're not going to make a really long math operation if you have a calculator which does it for you, the same applies here, you take away all the trivial processes and skip to he part where you are really needed
