Hand me down Rinnegan

so i was thinking how is the Rinnegan still up and running shoudlnt it have been decaying along with the rest of Nagato and also did Obito take both or just the one because is seems incredibly wasteful for him to have left the other eye of the sage of six paths anyway just a thought what do you guys think

I know, The rinnegan should've been dried out but because kishi knows no logic. its still working! and eh maybe obito(if he redeems himself) will give it to naruto (as an apology gift or something)

How? The Rinnegan isn't known for it's ocular Genjutsu. Wouldn't his Sharingan and Edo Tensei influence be the things controlling the Bijuu's?

I think he realized he can't use other techniques with the Rinnegan Nagato had. So that is why he kept his Sharingan on the other eye in case he couldn't fully control the Rinnegans techniques like Madara could. He should have put on both Rinnegans but then he wouldn't have been able to use his phasing technique.

He only took one rinnegan so he could keep his overpowered mangekyo sharing an. and for the record, it should have decayed a long time ago. It's Izuna's eye.

All bijuus used shared visions, in short they were similar to six paths of pain...And it is difficult to control Bijuus using Sharingan, and for edo tensei you need that talisman.....:erm:

It depends on A) how long he had been dead and B) if the decay rate for him is the same as everyone else.
Remember he had the 6 paths ... ALLL dead bodies who were perfectly fine for the most part... even had functioning rinnigans.

He took it to create his own six paths of Pain, control the Bijuu, Summon the Gedo Statue, and that's basically it.


He originally planned to use Sasuke for the Gedo, but as time passed he used himself.



When he had his pain paths, it took too much chakra to both use the Rinnegan techs and control the Bijuu. As such, the jinjuriki paths did not use the abilities of Pain.


He also used it for the final step to reform the Juubi too.
