I don't see why a clan heir or heiress couldn't lead a team of their own, especially if they are not yet an actual Clan Head. If anything, it should serve as a good learning experience on leadership.

O really? Interesting

And it doesn’t matter if she’s heiress, because the team won’t last long anyways if anime and manga do connect

True. This makes the most logical sense. But the Hyuga way seems different considering Kurenai had to ask for permission from Hiashi when she still believed Hinata was heiress. The Last also proved Hanabi had no practical fighting experience + her db states she spent all of her time doing strict training under her father meaning she was probably home trained all through and not part of a usual 3 man team.

Well she was genin during the last which means at some point she must have graduated from the academy. I believe she has enough experience to have her own genin Team :3

I'm really shocked right now and so happy. More so I hate Sumire for leaving her Team xd

Well yeah... Graduating from the academy and becoming Genin isn't an issue but it clearly becomes different when you are to continue in a 3 man team. Kurenai had to ask for permission remember? Agreed with the bold though.

Congrats i guess.

since this is a filler, i will just past. Boruto should give more interaction like training or be teaming with Hanabi considering his Hyuga background. But Hanabi just stand nothing like forcely taken as jounin leader just to feed screen time because lack of character among her age. If Hanabi is jounin leader she should take team 7 while konohamaru sarutobi should lead team inoshikacho.
