Yeah but it's not just this. He got used as a plot device for the dark chakra subplot in the anime, was this close to harming his students and ended up needing Mitsuki to bring him back to his senses. Even in the original manga the only purpose his character served for the most part was to be used for 'nobody ever remembers me' gags. He's been shafted for quite a while now and I just thought he'd at least end up being portrayed in a manner that makes him look just as cool as the rest of his peers to make up for the past treatment of his character
