Kakashi said that Hyuga have the power to enhance their chakra flow which is what Gates is.

Gai's taijutsu involves the control of chakra network and as we know that is the Hyuga's signature power. Ashura was the first SM user and humans most likely learned how to control NE from him. It's likely that taijutsu users learned how to use Gates from Hamura because he would be the only one with the knowledge of how the chakra network functions.

In addition, Naruto proved that Six Path Senjutsu can negate the side effects of 8 Gates, Hamura was a taijutsu god with Six Path Senjutsu, if anything Gates would be his way of rivalling JJ Hagoromo's power since Yin = Yang. There's nothing to suggest he wasn't able to use Gai's taijutsu.

The usage of manga to build and support your idea is respectable and I can see the logic behind the reasoning but I still doubt Hamura as the first user of Gates

Welp, I would agree, but most of everything comes from the sage, and since pretty much anything op was derived from the body, and the eyes of the sage(hagoromo) I doubt hamura had anything to do with the gates

Where is it even stated "Hamura was a taijutsu god." This whole theory is based on purely speculation reinforced by further speculation.

Nothing you've said in this thread even hints to Hamura unlocking, and teaching the secrets of the 8th Gates.

I could say a mere monk studied the body, and figured out how to unlock the secrets to the eight gates, and it'd hold the same weight as this theory.
