Okay a lot of people are finding it hard that naruto is ending like this and are thinking hagoromo is the final villain which is really retarded he is known as a legendary figure for his pacifist ways and his ways of peace.
In my opinion of there was a final villain I honestly would like to see it be Hamura himself afterall hamura possesses the yin release not to mention assuming his level he's atleast on par with naruto and Sasuke actually probably being stronger.
Using logical reasoning it most likely that he's the one who invented the gentle fist and not to mention he does have some sort of the sages power being able to use the yin release activating the seal so clearly he was atleast as strong as the current naruto and sasuke and if he does have the gentle that would give him the clear advantage
Being a hyuga and being somewhat related to the uchiha we honestly don't know how the hyuga use to be he could of been just adding his brother hagoromo to defeat a common enemy and being introduced and not being recognized in history it could be for some of the actions he could have committed in his time
Honestly I think that could save the manga kishimoto would just need a way to make him seem more powerful then his mother or just have a real advantage of sasuke and naruto (and he does having godlike powers with the gentle fist that would be unreal seeing what we've already seen ) idk I just think it would still be cool to introduce him
