Halo Reach: Need help... or sumtin'

So yeah, at first I wasn't sure to start a thread about this or not... I decided to do so because you guys might actually able to help me out...

I've been struggling lately. I've been playing Reach for quite a while now, and I'm starting to get like, more serious at it. I've got myself a nice group of people I team-up with most of the time, and it's going quite well I'd say. Only problem is: (you probably guessed it...) the "DM-freaking-R" . This is like the most important gun in the game right? I can't seem to get good at using the damn bastard. My friends are like beasts with it, and get quite pissed at me when I can't finish a kill.

I'd like tips or whatever the hell you can give me to get the hang of it...

My settings are:
TV: 32" LG LCD 1080p HDMI (I'm sitting like a meter away from it which is quite stupid itself, isn't it xd?)
Stick settings: Default
Button settings: Bumper jumper

Learn to time your bullets, the bloom really hurts your accuracy in this game if you spam and don't know what you are doing.

Do you happen to know what your response time is on your TV? and do you play in 1080p? Because all games run naturally *for the most part* in 720p as their native resolution

Lol the best way(or what I did) to get good with DMR is by playing a lot of team SWAT and team DMRs. Yeah you might get wrecked a lot but trust me it helps a lot xd
