With roughly 950 mutants vying for screen time in Bryan Singer’s packed-to-the-gills X-Men: Days of Future Past, it was only a matter of time before some recognizable stars landed on the cutting room floor. We think it might have already happened to Anna Paquin’s Rogue. And now it’s possible that the bulk of Halle Berry’s Storm scenes have been washed away, as well.

The New York Daily News quotes a source from the set of Singer’s massive sequel as saying that Berry’s mutant hero has been reduced in post-production to one scene. Berry was pregnant while filming scenes for Days of Future Past. The source adds:

"She only has one line in the whole movie. They’re not telling her until the movie comes out."

Unless, of course, she reads about it online. Thanks, Internet!

Storm surfaced in the early trailers for X-Men: Days of Future Past, and appeared – from the look of the below shot – to be part of the post-apocalyptic future that the X-Men are trying to prevent.

And that’s where we always assumed we WOULD see the mutants who were part of Singer’s initial X-Men films. Led by Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen, actors like Paquin, Berry, Shawn Ashmore and Ellen Page would be enduring the vicious future, sending Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back to the First Class timeline to try and stop Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) from launching a Sentinel program… leading to the destruction of the mutant population.

Which source do you want to trust, though? In response to the Daily News report, SuperHeroHype reached out to their own sources and came back with a reply. "SuperHeroHype has spoken to a very trusty source of the site, who says there is no truth to what the NY Daily News is claiming. [Berry] does some cool stuff in the movie. How much? You'll see on May 23."

Storm was never going to be a lynchpin to this new sequel, which revolves primarily around Wolverine and Professor X, before passing the baton to the First Class team. It’s already believed that 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse will be a direct sequel to the First Class world, as Singer has said it will take place in the 1980s. The future of the past X-Men stars was likely limited, so actors like Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender can carry the torch. Even if Berry has, like, three scenes in Days, the emphasis isn’t going to fall on Storm or the heroes who helped launch this film franchise back in 2000. How much screen time she actually gets will be revealed soon enough.

I was never a fan of storm in or outside the movies ....I am a Rouge fan , but the movies never did her justice , she not being in this movie either pleases me & it was a terrible casting too .

I'd be happy actually. I really wanted this xmen to be separate from the trilogy. Like a whole different timeline simply because the trilogy was subpar to me

Ellen Page/Kitty Pryde BETTER still be in it tho. Shadowcat had a really important role in the original comics for DoFP. It would be disrespectful not to include her in favor of making the whole thing center around wolverine

No! Halle Berry is so fine, like she could get it. I would lick her kneecaps, you can call me thirsty but still, that's just my prerogative

The X-men Movies were trash to begin with.
Out of all the Marvel Movies, SPIDERMAN is the most true to its source. Amazing Spiderman is at least.
Well, Ironman is spot on too.

How is the professor in the movie when Phoenix killed him
Welcome to the confusion of comic multiverses.

Too bad Spiderman is such a shitty character.
Peter Parker is a *****.

Waiting on the damn Deadpool movie. Hoping QT directs.

Good because her Storm sucked nothing like the African Goddess Storm or the Punk Rock Mohawk Storm. Storm and Cyclops where my least favorite character in those movies but at least Storm did stuff but Cyclops got screwed in those movies and he's one of the most important X-Men.
