Haku's hand signs

Forgive me, but i have to go back in time to Naruto's first mission because im still wondering about something. we all remember Haku fighting sasuke on the mission in the hidden mist village right? and at one point he used hand signs with one hand. seen in chaper 24

Kakashi admits he'd never seen that before.. no one has! and we haven't seen any since, at least i haven't. Im just wondering how he could do it, and if there's anything we know about it. can anybody shed some ligt on this topic?

In the vast and complex shinobi world there are bound to be people with unique abilities that set them apart. This is one of those instances.

Also, you use hand signs to concentrate and "mold" chakra, which is somehow accomplished with different finger orientations. I honestly don't know why it takes two hands to begin with.
