Ever wondered how Dragon crept up to Smoker without Smoker hearing him (Smoker is described as having keen hearing ability)

Here is my theory, Haki Concealment.

Its not a new form of Haki and is simply a variant of Emperors Haki. Those with refined control over it can not only express themselves and knock others out, but can hide their presence and use it to sneak up on others.

Think about it. Haoshoku Haki is basically a fodder killer and useless against tough opponents, so the other variant of this would be effective in just simply aviding a fight with a strong, tough guy.

This is probz one of the reason why Dragon is so wanted as this technique of this is so powerful tht he is vertually undetectable in his movements It does not make a person invisible but merely removes smell, hear and feel.

i think what your trying to say is in the Z movie
Z talks about luffys haki being docile then building during the battle.
rayleigh told luffy not two use conquerors haki often because it could make friends fear him
so i think luffy trained all three
observation like enel to see the enemies moves. thats why people just miss when he is care free.
but don hid his haki and got him in the tunnel to and got him in water.
i think of luffys haki power as a meter thats red line expands when used to its limit.
i beleive this is what rogers battles where like from what donjango said about luffys dream to be king
you think your hakis going to be the strongest? i do! BAMB haki battle
i think these types of haki fights extent a persons haki limit and then like rayleigh said its which type the person has the natural ability con/observ/hard
i think we will see luffy now beat don in reg mode using conquers haki to make him freeze then maybe a conquers punch

lol nah,first, akainu was distracted thats why shanks succesfuly surpise attacked him, second dragon surprise attack smoker because it was hella raining that time having keen ability bs, same was whitebeard surpise attack akainu because he was distracted to kill luffy.. its probably because when your enemy is luffy you dont care wtfs happening to your surroundings you need to focus to luffy

It could just be because Dragon is so immensely stronger than Smoker, Smoker was unable to keep up with his speed as he moved up behind him, thus being unable to detect him. Akainu probably has shit Observation Haki, and with the sound of gunfire, fighting and explosions all around you, you might not hear footsteps. Yeah, Akainu has really acute hearing, being able to hear Whitebeard's ship underwater, but it was quiet then. And I don't think Whitebeard is no slouch either, he's gonna have speed. Akainu was also distracted by Coby.

But, it's a good theory nonetheless. It's definitely possible and would be an interesting side to Haoshoku. Lord knows it needs more to it.

Shanks just blitz the shit outta him, The G.O.A.T one piece blitz. He arrived on the battlefield before anyone could even notice him, intercepted and blocked an enraged admirals killing intent attack all while his ship was still in the ocean sailing to the shore of Marine ford.

But I actually agree with you, this makes sense when you think about it and it's a more applicable use of kings haki as opposed to just knocking out fodder.

You can't "learn" CoC haki either but Rayleigh still showed him its power, concept and even explained how rare the ability is.
