If your element is solid you can coat it in Haki but we haven't seen something like fire being coated in Haki. We will have to wait and see.

Yes we have.

Zoro imbued Haki into a flying slash here, and flying slashes are just thrusting the air forward. Wind is about as non-solid as you can get. So it stands to reason fire can also be imbued with Haki.

I thought that was a normal slash.

That's not possible. How can you shield your element from taking property? Haki materilzes matter, applying haki not only solidify projections but it would prevent elements such as fire from burning if covered in black armored lining. It won't burn like it's suppose to.

Says who?
Shows every other person in the manga. Every devil fruit user that emits matter-like powers never covered it in Haki. WB never used haki quakes on aokiji, aokiji never used haki covered ice, and kizaru never used haki covered lasers for a reason.
He had to use seastone cuffs for a reason.
Buso haki materializes matter.

See that's what got me wondering though, we've never seen it like you said but then how could WB use his quake fruit against a logia if he can't somehow imbue the quakes with Haki? Is his fruit then useless against Logia? That doesn't sound right, then at the same time imbuing something like a fire fist attack or Akainu's magma fist in haki and shooting it sounds weird to think about.

We've seen Zoro do that but we're talking about logia elements. Zoro throwing Haki slashes is pretty much the same as arrows or bullets being coated. Zoro coats his sword and slashes which probably makes the pressure that comes from it Haki-imbued. Im pretty sure its possible for logia with non-solid elements to Use Haki in long range attacks but we haven't seen that yet.

Haki isn't just armor it is also described as aura.

It would work for solid type Logias, since it would enhance the attack making it hit harder, or can be used for defence. Howevere with liquid, gas and plasma types it would just be useless.

If you can imbue PRESSURE with Haki, why can't you imbue fire or light or magma? lmfao

I believe Smoker coated his smoke in CoA in his punches in the Vergo fight. But that is just from memory. If I feel like it I might go back and check the manga in a few moments.

Whitebeard threw quakes at Aokiji and it did nothing. He had to stop him with his Haki covered bisento.
For Akainu he had to cover his hands in Haki to land those attacks, as for the quakes themselves they remained normal with no Haki imbued in them.

Projectiles that come from devil fruits can't be covered in haki, other wise people can throw buso Haki at each other out of thin air.
