And where did this father come from? They are all Kaguya's descendants.

This causal argumentation doesn't matter much though. Madara wouldn't have been able to come back without Kabuto, Obito, Orochimaru etc. This doesn't mean they are better characters than him.

But concerning your claim that Madara was "owning", he was actually looking pretty lacking against Gai and Naruto/Sasuke with their new powers. Even after him getting an upgrade through the Shinju and getting his other eye back, they countered all he threw at them (Mass Chibaku Tensei, Limbo clones) with pretty low difficulty.
