I have decided that Hagoromo giving Naruto and Sasuke the yin yang seals to defeat Madara was not from shortsidedness about the amount of death and destruction they would cause, or ignorance to the fact that Juubi Jinchurikis could be defeated by extracting the bijuu. It was part of a plan to permanently get rid of Ninjutsu and those that use it.
