Hagoromo's brother.

Hey everyone! It's nice to finally be able to post, so i'll jump right into it.

Do we have any clue or any information on who Hagoromo's brother might be and what he's done besides help Hagoromo defeat the juubi? Did he cooperate with Hagoromo or oppose his ideals like Indra and Ashura?

Do you think he's relevant to the story?

I find it strange to bring up a new character whilst no clue was given about his existence prior to this and no story about him.

The only thing I can put together with the information and plot consistency is that for every thing that happens to Naruto, something similar will happen to Sasuke and vise-versa. With that being said, my theory is that just like Naruto is talking to Hagoromo while being "revived" (kept alive, however you want to interpret that) by Obito sealing the 9 tails in him then Sasuke might get the chance to talk to Hagoromo's brother while being "revived" by Kabuto.

We know that Naruto is Ashura's reincarnation and we can assume that Sasuke is Indra's reincarnation so why would Hagoromo's brother want to talk to Sasuke? Is there a connection maybe? Could it be that Hagoromo's brother was the one who influenced Indra that with power anything was possible?

I was thinking the same thing too. Previously we thought the whole "two sons" thing started with Hagoromo's sons. But now it's revealed that Kaguya herself had two sons and they both seemed to have similar abilities. So while the current Naruto story is based all on Hagoromo's descendents, whatever happened to Hagoromo's brother and his descendents? Sure since both of Kaguya's sons were able to fight the Juubi, the brothers' children would probably be about the same level.

As for the Naruto-Ashura vs Sasuke-Indra thing, I think it's very likely. But again this is all based on Hagoromo's sons. It's like his brother's family tree was forgotten. Of course, it could be like OP said that Hagoromo's brother was the one who fueled Indra's dark side. I still think that's kinda a slap in the face to the brother; I mean he deserves his own story about his descendents. Just my thoughts.

Yes, I agree with you. Hagoromo's brother deserves his own story. I'm certain Kishi will explain something. He can't just introduce someone, who along side Hagoromo can take on the complete Juubi, and then say nothing about him. I believe he's going to play a big role in the story. Let's see what Kishi plans to do with him.
