I forgot about Ibiki's unlimited knowledge and wisdom especially from his first hand experience with the Sage. Haha but on another note, he probably could do any jutsu.

The sage is like tobirama with the water out of nowhere he can summon any element it was stated he "Mastered All 5 Basic Elements"

I also believed that but since Hagoromo said that he traveled through time all this time...
It's most probable that he saw the development of the ninjutsu and have the very idea how to use it in anyway...

P.S. IMO Ninshu is better than Ninjutsu...
