[Theory] Hagoromo never had the Mazou

Despite what was mentioned earlier by Obito and Kurama, we now know that Hagoromo never had Gedo Mazou


Data Book says that Hagoromo and Hamura sealed the body of the Juubi immediately upon it's defeat.


The Yin/Yang seal immediately seperates the chakra of the Juubi from it's body, Gedo Mazou and simulataneously seals the Mazou in the moon.

Thus, Hagoromo could never have had the Mazou in his body


Hagoromo most likely took the seperated chakra and absorbed it.


What was the difference between Madara and Hagoromo?

I suspect that Hagoromo could never have been influenced by the Juubi because he didn't have Gedo Mazou. Which most likely contained Kaguya's soul.



That was why Hagoromo didn't die after extracting the Juubi chakra from his body. There wasn't a Bijuu there. Same reason why Sasuke didn't die after the fight.

Kurama incorrectly attributed it to the Mazou keeping him alive, when in fact, it was because no Bijuu was extracted.

By your theory absorbing the Juubi follows the same principle of natural chakra absorption. If we look at Obito he was a rougher version of a Jinchuuriki, kind of like Jiraya with Sage mode.

While Madara obtained a perfect form and all ingredients were together, Kaguya manifested. Maybe the whole formula was just too much even for Hagoromo, while Kaguya as being the origin of Chakra could handle all that juubi strength.

when we saw what happened when naruto and sasuke sealed kaguya i pretty much realized it. although it makes a few of the things that we know pretty much wrong. like when kurama was explaining why obito wasn't dead. so hogoromo had the chakra in his body with no actual will. or body.

Obito pulled out the juubi from his body and turned it into its defensive form the holy tree (which happen to be Kaguya talking to Madara).

Same applies to Hagoromoo in a sense.

It was the Gedo mazou that prolong his life
