Apparently, the two know each other due to the fact Hagoromo knows that Obito is within Kakashi.


Hagoromo might be setting up Obito as his successor since he was the only one besides the so6p to use the sword of nunoboko. And since Obito can come back to the real world in pure chakra form thx to kamui, he has already reached the state Hagoromo is in already.


We are definitely going to see Obito in the last movie whether he talks to Kakashi or he gives him his powers again in order to fight the main villain in dat story.


I do think Kishi always intended for Obito to be the sage's successor, not Naruto
