I'm starting to have these weird thoughts and it's hard to tell if it's true or not. As i stated in my previous thread, this chapter seems to be a cliffhanger that had left me guessing on what's next. Sure, Kishimoto could decide to pull the plug and end it, but who would do this in such a cliche manner? I certainly wouldn't end the manga just yet. I'm becoming suspicious if Hagoromo is as nice as he portrays himself; he seems to be the type that can easily deceive anyone. What i'm wondering is if Hagoromo is corrupted himself. Hagoromo felt threatened when Madara was gaining power and becoming closer to him in terms of power. Why would he imply such a thing? Seems to me there's a hidden motive in there.

Also, Kaguya and Hamura are other subjects that we must consider! Kaguya never appeared as the type that wanted world domination. As a matter of fact, Kaguya seems to have been hurt somehow by not only eating the fruit, but perhaps is the fact that her sons, Hagoromo and Hamura, also wanted their mother's power! Kaguya was the ruler in ancient times after eating the fruit -- it's a possibility that Kaguya fought her sons in self-defense. Kaguya was trying to take her chakra back from her sons, but it seems there's something else besides chakra that happened with that family. Which is why she displayed tears when she fought against Naruto and Sasuke! Kaguya hates her sons for a reason and perhaps its due to betrayal.

Unless Kishimoto explains whatever happened to Hamura, then it's possible that Hagoromo probably did something to Hamura. I mean what other possible outcome could of happened? The only one that i can think of is Hamura turning evil, or the latter which is Hamura being defeated by Hagoromo. Why am i think so much of this? Black Zetsu was plotting this to revive his mother; he purposely did this with the intention of having Kaguya reign supreme. But now it's come to my attention that the Sage might want to teach the world peace in a not so different way than the other villains. His Nishu beliefs might not be so real after all -- anything can happen at this point... Consider that this chapter left a cliffhanger, which made me doubt that everything is over. Only Kishimoto can make this happen, and there seems to be revelations about Hamura, Kaguya, etc... that we didn't get answer for as of yet. Which leads me to believe that the Sage used Naruto and Sasuke to get rid of the threats: Madara, Black Zetsu, and Kaguya.

Who knows, I figure the sage might give some info on his brother or Kishi may never give info on him and conclude the story. I figure Kishi is going to have the sage end IT also, and send all the edos (probably Madara also) back to the pure world. The story seems to be wrapping up and I'm guessing it's around 10 ish more chapters before the end.

I agree. Sir Derp Obito found this too. It matches the sage and his legacy.

This is taken from the Tao Te Ching regarding the right conduct of a Sage:

The sage does not strive, tamper, or seek control (ch. 64). He does not endeavor to help life along (ch. 55), or use his heart-mind (xin) to “solve” or “figure out” life’s apparent knots and entanglements (ch. 55). He who will try to do something with the world will fail, he will actually ruin it.

They never make a display of themselves, (chs. 72, 22). They do not brag or boast, (chs. 22, 24) and they do not linger after their work is done (ch. 77). They leave no trace

Seekers see the sage as someone transparently open, without any cleverness at all and, yet, the seeker knows that the sage is obviously no one's fool! This is perhaps what is meant by the words: <The sage is anchored in peace and harmony>. But what the seeker actually sees is that while the sage is not particularly keen to offer any advice, he does so when asked, with a great deal of simplicity, confidence, and utter humility.

Once again Sir Derp Obito found this

i dont think so because there has been way to many string pullers in this arc. First it was obito manipulating sasuke, then madara to obito, the zetsu to madara, ad then kaguya. So if he made hagoromo the FV it would be overkill.

no i don't think that hagoromo is evil... yeah what happened between kaguya/hagoromo-hamura must be revealed for making things more clear.. may be hamura turned evil for some reasons.. or he sacrificed himself for some reasons..

It was already overkill with Kaguya, so what's the difference now? Nothing. Kishi has used the manipulation card so many times that it wouldn't surprise me, but after Kaguya's poor performance as a villain, i wouldn't mind seeing Hagoromo being a villain at this point. Kishomoto can make things right and can make an interesting twist to the Osutsuki clan. All he has to do is make it interesting and then we have a worthy FV -- much better than Kaguya.

nice theory. I can definitely see th Sage being the FV. These thoughts went through my mind as I was reading 690.

I dont know why, but these pages along with the way Kaguya acted and was sealed, made me question the sage

If Kishimoto makes Hagoromo the real FV, this would make the plot much more interesting. Let's just see if it happens.

What if Spiral Zetsu was Hamura; takes over Madara and forces him to Rinne-Tensei Hagoromo. And Lo and Behold; Hagoromo is the Final Villian.
