He gave naruto and sasuke the seals, but not the rinnegan or the bijuu. That was all down to Obito and Kabuto. So they could still fight madara, and rather than try to seal him, extract the bijuu when, for a random example, sasuke cut him in half. Or stabbed him. Or during any of the many severe injury's they inflicted on him which would have left him easy prey for a bijuu extraction.

He didnt get the rinnegan from kabuto. And naruto only got the two bijuu from obito. Hagoromo helped revive them and gave them hella powerups. His chakra and the yin and yang seals. Thats what gave them the rinnegan and sage mode powerups

Sasuke got the senju DNA from Kabuto, which gave him Rinnegan.
Obito completed naruto's bijuu collection, so naruto could be as strong as he was.
Naruto and sasuke were revived by Kabuto and Yin Kurama, not Hagoromo.

unny how he could release Oro's Edo Tensei but he couldn't release Tailed Beasts from Sasuke's Genjutsu (which should be easier, since Sasuke did it with powers Hagoromo gave him himself lel).

Kishi shouldn't have really expanded on Hagoromo's character, because what he's done so far with him is terrible. Even Kaguya was better. She at least kept her mouth shut.

He was able to send them back because he was already shown to be able to bring souls back from the Pure Land, thus he did the same to the Edo Hokage, didn't release Edo Tensei, he simply sent their souls back with his own technique. How that relates to Genjutsu is beyond me, because last time I checked, no physical contact for Genjutsu Kai=You can't break Genjutsu.

Sasuke doing it with the Rinnegan doesn't mean that Hagoromo can automatically nullify everything he does. That's you using bad logic here. Not to mention he can cast Genjutsu with the Rinnegan because it retains his Sharingan powers, hence the tomoe.

I don't think he's a joke but he certainly hasn't lived up to the hype. He was built up to be much more than he has turned out to be. I guess that's because he is dead, but still he has been a bit of a disappointment. Madara seemed to be more powerful before he was taken down by BZ. I guess I was expecting more from the person who sealed Kaguya, started ninshuu and tamed the tailed beasts.

I realize he cannot and should not solve NV problems himself but I guess I was expecting more feats than we've seen from him. Although I guess in his time he was capable of doing the same feats as Madara, Sasuke and Naruto combined since their powers came from him.

His contract is irrelevant. Did Itachi need to release ET t to seal Nagato away? Does this mean that Edos can't have their souls removed from their bodies via jutsu because of the contract? (Shiki Fujin and Human Path) Uh, no. You're wrong.
